What Champurrado means
Champurrado is a Mexican drink name of Spanish origin meaning "mixed-up one". It comes from Spanish champurrar (to mix one drink into another) + -ado. It is pronounced chahm-poo-RRAH-doh, and it is most associated with the whole country.
It is atole with chocolate stirred in, and the name says nothing more than that two drinks were mixed. The verb champurrar is also used for mixing languages badly.
